Joe the Plumber isn’t really a plumber.

What’s really goofy is that not only does Joe not earn $250K, he said he wouldn’t want the proposed tax cut for earning less than that amount. So apparently all tax cuts are not created equal in Joe’s book, and even though Joe doesn’t qualify yet for the tax bracket he’s concerned about, he’s still prepared right now to politick on their behalf. Hey Joe, how about you start off a little lower and help me out? I don’t know that I’ll ever make $250/year in my lifetime, but my car could use a wash right now…

Yeah. I still think that if you’re going to turn some hapless schlep into the centerpiece of a debate, a little research on the ol’ back story would have been helpful to both parties. Doh!!!

According to today’s paper, it seems ol’ Joe isn’t really a taxpayer either. Apparently he owes $1180 in back taxes. McCain said that Joe was the winner of this debate, but it turns out it’s actually the IRS…

Well, if he’s not a plumber, I’m sure he could get a job as a fill-in for Michael Chicklis on The Shield. Right?

So he could be Joe the Stunt-Double Stand-In? 🙂
