in my next life

I think I’d like to be a hurricane reporter. You know, one of those idiots who stand on the beach while they’re getting smacked by 50-mph winds? One of those.

I’ve also desperately wanted to be an advice columnist and an on-air radio personality.

I’m 0-fer right now. I have the radio thing down for Sunday nights, but I’m talking about drive-time, baby. 50,000 watts. Many states and Canadian provinces.

But until then, I’ll toil along here bringing you a fresh, daily dose of the random and the rantings of a liberal conservative fish out of water.

Remind me to tell you the story of Jenny the exploited hurricane reporter next time you have me on the phone. Text can’t do this story justice 🙂 But the shenanigans will continue till Anderson Cooper gets taken out by a road sign flying at 100 mph…

Not a reporter in Hurricane, WV? 🙂

Yeah, I kinda have a little crush on TWC Jim Cantore…
I think it would be pretty cool to be covering massive snow blizzards, too. 🙂

I really expected to wake up to the news that Geraldo had been swept out to sea or taken out by flying debris.

We’re not that lucky. In every hurricane, I do pray that it’s the one where Geraldo finally gets taken out.

Ann: If I were a Hurricane, W.Va., reporter, I would devote this entire blog to how Wal-Mart keeps me up at night, kills kittens and eats babies.
