everybody wants to be important

In today’s D-list celebrity news:

Dave Coulier admits Alanis Morissette’s ‘You Oughta Know’ is about him

I remember hearing this, I think, in 1996. He denied it at the time. I mean, sure, livin’ was good as Uncle Joey, so I can understand not wanting that association.

Now it just smells like, “Hey! I’m still alive! Book me for your Native American Casino!”

I’m also even more icked out than I was before when thinking about the full context of the lyrics now.
