Tonight?

* Hey, New Orleans? GET OUT. Don’t be a hero. You aren’t going to win.
* Texas thinks it’s a good idea to give you a discount on your marriage license if you agree to go to counseling first. Silly, silly Texas.
* Why people think Sarah Palin is the second coming of the deity of your choosing.
* Various and sundry other things …
*A petting zoo … if the guy brings it by the house.

Jessica Simpson continues to prove that she sucks at life.

(Also see the reviews in The Superficial and I Dont Like You in That Way, along with a great one in Dlisted.)

Looks like Aug. 21 was a remarkable day at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheeling.

I’m 12.

not my best day ever

A pictoral representation … a photoblog if you will.

The minute I stepped off the Metro today — sans umbrella, mind you — God continued his “Operation Continuing Revenge” with the sky exploding. This was on a day I elected to take the Metro to Farragut North, adding about three blocks of walking on to my normally one-block walk. Fortunately, Grandma keeps a zip up sweater at her desk, so with minor modifications, I was able to change into that. At last check, the shirt’s still wet.

What is that? Australia?

Oooh. Sooorry. Sooorry.

If you guessed, “Oddly-shaped glob of corn-chip material in the bottom of your bag of stale Doritos” you are correct. I’m 0-2 at this point. The only thing going in my favor was the availability of diet Mountain Dew.

My mail. It’s not funny anymore, God. It’s not funny.

However, the day’s wrapping up. Not much in store for tonight. More being a layabout. I’ve not gone much near my computer at home the last few nights and it’s been good. I’ve been exploring this thing called “reading” and watching TV and sleeping on and off all night. It’s been good for me, I think.

what’s for lunch?

Today’s edition of “What’s for Lunch?” is in honor of Sweet Ann of Charleston, W.Va.

Why?

Because yesterday, she was, for lack of a more accurate word, quasi-lectured that she could either use Twitter to tell people something “relevant” about an event she was attending or she could tell people what she was having for lunch.

Upon learning those developments, I picked to honor her right to use Twitter however she chooses by putting up her theme idea of “What’s for Lunch?” today.

Pictured is what I’m having, naturally. More food for eight-year-olds. Please, someone one-up me.

i

I can almost promise that 90 percent of you haven’t heard this song in 15 years, if not longer.

You’re welcome. That one’s going to be in your head for the rest of the night.
