You check your BlackBerry as soon as you get out of the shower and have FOUR work e-mails already of things that “need” to be “immediately” fixed.
When I got here, to get myself ready for today, I watched a video my boyfriend made for me when he was in Nashville. It was called “Jacque’s Moment of Zen.” And it was only a minute and a half long, but it was one of the sweetest presents anybody’s ever given me. It’s on my desktop at work for moments — like now — when I think I might be close to going Category A.
But for everybody else who won’t be seeing the video, here’s another moment of Zen provided by the Foo Fighters and their concert at the Spectrum in Philadelphia last month.
This was the first song of their set, “The Pretender.” I listen to this song almost daily on the drive to work with the volume about as loud as the car will take it. Something about it makes it all pretty OK.
