I’m listening to the replay of last week’s show and you just mentioned me in connection with Def Leppard; I was driving back from Orlando when you were did this show live and I almost called in blind. Now I kinda wish I had, since you guys were talking about bands, and I’ve never talked Paige before; damn…
The thing with stupid band names is that if you really like the band’s music, sometimes you let a stupid name slide. To be honest, I too like Def Leppard, and I always just assumed that it was a takeoff on Led Zeppelin. BTW, The The is a kick-ass band. Check out “Infected” sometime, and “This is the Day” got used in an ad recently (for CareerBuilder). But as dumb as the name Chumbuwumba is, I can’t laugh too hard, since one of my favourite cool English bands from the ’80s was called Prefab Sprout
